This pennant has "HOUSTON GAMBLERS" printed in silver. The helmet is facing to the right and has
the "newer" style facemask. We believe this version is somwhat scarcer than the one with the helmet facing
left and with an "older" style facemask (pictured below).

This pennant has "HOUSTON GAMBLERS"

is the most common version produced for the Gamblers.

The "standard" Gamblers sticker,
as issued by the team.
|

|
The first of two variations issued by
the Mobil Gas Company in 1985. This example has the "Mobil" name, found at the top of the sticker, directly on the
black background. The back of the sticker features two offers for tickets to the March 24 game against the Portland Breakers.
This was our "Monthly Featured Item" for May/June of 2009, and more details can be found here.
|

|
We believe this variation is the second
printing of the sticker. The "Mobil" name was given a white background to make it more obvious. We're not sure whether
one version is scarcer than the other, and most people probably don't care. The backs of both sticker variations are exactly
the same (see above photo).

The elusive Gamblers "Season Ticket Holder"

1985 Gamblers two-sided pocket schedule featuring
a photo of Jim Kelly and Sam Harrell. Sponsored by Kodak and KRBE 1070-AM. All games are listed on back.
|

|
|
This
item is definitely NOT a pocket schedule -- it's a whopping 22 inches high and 14 inches across! Printed on very thick
posterboard, the schedule lists all home and away contests from the inaugural 1984 season. The Coors logo appears in red and
white at the top of the item. A folding cardboard easel on the back of the schedule allows it to stand on a flat
surface (the one pictured is unused and unfolded).
We have never seen another example of this
schedule, and believe it was given to clubs and retailers in limited numbers.

An oval Gamblers

more patches than plaques were produced. This was our monthly featured item for March/April of 2009, and more info
can be found here.

This insulated cooler is probably one of the scarcest collectibles on this page... It measures approx.
11 inches across, 8 inches high and 5 1/2 inches deep. This soft, collapsible item was manufactured by the Todex
Corporation of Denver, Colorado and has a screened three-color Gamblers logo on the front. The "HOUSTON GAMBLERS"
name is screened directly below the logo. The right side of the cooler opens via two velcro flaps, and a black nylon strap
allows for an easy carry.

The most legendary of all Gamblers t-shirts...
A black tee featuring a large three-color Gamblers logo and "Houston Gamblers" written below in silver,
capital, verdana font. This shirt was made by the company "Signal," and is 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
|

|
|
A black, lightweight windbreaker with a
half-zip front. Comparing the design to the t-shirt above, the classic team logo and "HOUSTON GAMBLERS"
name is similar but with a screened one-color format. The most interesting feature is the fact that the windbreaker folds
up into itself -- into a pouch that's the shape of a football! A similar small logo is screened on the outside of the "football"
pouch.
|

|
|
We
obtained this windbreaker in its original retail packaging (see first photo). The garment was folded in a clear plastic bag
with a "Logo 7" sticker/tag in place near the Gamblers logo on the left breast. This neat windbreaker was indeed
manufactred by Logo 7 and is made of a 100% nylon shell... The black/white sleeve and neck trim is made of 100% acrylic.
Like the black windbreaker above, this is very lightweight and a half-zip. A handwarmer-style pocket is below the
zipper. The Gamblers logo and "HOUSTON GAMBLERS" name are embroidered on the left breast.

This "official souvenir" belt buckle
was distributed by Great Promotions, Inc. of Tampa, Florida. The buckles were packaged as shown. A white disc in the middle
of the buckle (approx. 1 5/16 inches in diameter) features the four-color Gamblers logo. The rest of the buckle front has
the appearance of a copperish electroplated surface that is shiny in the pattern areas, and dark in the background.
The overall length of the belt buckle is approx.
3 3/4 inches long.

Clothing and Accessories
It seems like every kind of
clothing was produced, from belt buckles to cheap giveaway visors. Several different t-shirts were produced, and most were
worn and discarded long ago (I'm still looking for them). Photo number five shows a heavy patch. The ninth
photo shows a nice "bronze" 1984 Division Champions belt buckle that is difficult to find.
