Acquired: Gamblers' 10th selection from the Denver Gold in the 1983 USFL Veteran's Allocation Draft (Sept. 6-7, 1983)

Pro Bio: (1984 season) The 1984 USFL Receiver of the Year... 115 receptions is the most in a single season in professional football history... Started all eighteen games... Voted first team All-USFL by the league's writers and broadcasters, Pro Football Weekly and College and Pro Football Newsweekly... Caught USFL record 15 passes against the Los Angeles Express on April 30... Had ten receptions versus Oklahoma on March 31... His three TD catches against Pittsburgh on May 12 tied the league mark... Has six games with more than 100 yards receiving... Gamblers' third-leading scorer with 90 points... Fifth on the USFL career receiving list... Fifteen TD catches tied the USFL mark... caught at least three passes every game, and saw limited action as a rusher and kickoff returner.

Joined the Denver Gold on May 10, 1983 and played in one game... Spent seven games on the Gold developmental squad... Was with the Gold at the start of their 1983 training camp, but was released.

College Bio: Transferred to Colorado from Harbor Junior College in Los Angeles... Won two letters as a running back at Harbor... Voted All-Southern California for two years and was an honorable mention All-America in 1980... Transferred to Colorado in his junior season (1982) and was the team's third-leading rusher... Carried 57 times for 231 yards (4.1 average) in seven games... Started as a senior and was the Buffaloe's leading rusher, gaining 584 yards on 117 carries with six TDs... Also grabbed 26 passes for 350 yards and four TDs... As a senior he returned three punts for 13 yards and 11 kickoffs for 233 yards... Buffaloe's leading scorer in 1983 with 60 points... Earned Big Eight Offensive Player of the Week for his play against Kansas in 1983.

Personal: Three-year letterman in football at San Pedro High School in Los Angeles... Graduated from Colorado in 1983 with a degree in communications... Brother Darryl is a senior halfback at Colorado (1984).
