Circa 1984-85

Along with several other game used items, this sweater was purchased from the Gamblers liquidation auction shortly after the team moved to New Jersey. Assistant Equipment Manager Albert Veytia informed us that this style of sweater was worn by team staff members. This light to medium weight sweater is black, has a circular neckline, and is made of 50% cotton and 50% polyester.

A closeup look at the embroidered logo and team name on the front left breast of the sweater. We're almost certain that the threadwork was done locally by Oshman's Sporting Goods.

A closeup of the inside neck tag, which shows the sweater was manufactured by Belton. This example happens to be a "large" size 42 to 44.
